Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 5, 2026 Version: 1.0 Sole Trader Entity (United Kingdom)

1. Agreement to Terms

By installing or using the BulkVAT Google Sheets add-on or accessing bulkvat.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must uninstall and discontinue use of the add-on immediately.

2. License Grant & Scope

  • Free Tier: We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use BulkVAT for up to 50 rows per day.
  • Lifetime Pro License: Upon payment of the one-time $39 USD fee via Lemon Squeezy, you are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the add-on for unlimited rows on accounts owned or operated by you.
  • Restrictions: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or distribute the add-on source code or license keys.

3. Disclaimer of Legal & Tax Advice

BulkVAT is a technical software utility, not a tax advisor, accounting firm, or legal counsel.

The validation algorithms and VIES integration provided by BulkVAT are automated tools intended to assist with data hygiene. Passing an offline checksum or format check does not prove that an entity is lawfully trading or registered for tax. You remain solely responsible for verifying the tax treatment of cross-border transactions and complying with statutory tax obligations in your jurisdiction.

4. Availability of Third-Party Services

BulkVAT relies on external third-party infrastructure, including Google Workspace and the European Commission VIES database. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free availability of third-party systems. Downtime of national registries (resulting in MS_UNAVAILABLE responses) is beyond our control.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall BulkVAT, its owner, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, tax penalties, audit assessments, or business interruption.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the add-on shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the BulkVAT license ($39 USD).

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
